ormation in order to understand why this process is necessary. Let us explain more.
The basis is an emulsion mix that is used in the production of asphalt sealcoating. There are two types of sealers available in the market that are based on coal tar and asphalt. There is a difference in that asphalt comes from the petroleum refining process and coal tar comes from refining steel. The former product is like asphalt because it’s an example of a resin, gray substance.
However, coal tar includes the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (which are carcinogens). However, sealers made of asphalt don’t possess that issue, making them automatically the better option. Asphalt is also a recyclable material since liquid asphalt can be obtained from asphalt being used to make sidewalks, driveways and other purposes.
The procedure involves heating the asphalt to above 300° Celsius and extracting the liquid that is released. After that, it’s mixed water and emulsifiers in order to produce solid sealcoat material. For more information about asphalt sealcoating, you can go through the entire video.
